The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Jawaharlal College of Engineering
and Technology (JCET), inaugurated the Student Association Activities
20262027 under the banner HARDFLYERS on 31 July 2026 at 1:30 PM in
Sahithya Hall, JCET.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Deekshith D.
Prabhu, Joint Secretary, HARDFLYERS, who welcomed the dignitaries, faculty
members, students, and guests. Dr. N. Gunasekaran, Principal, JCET, delivered the
Presidential Address, highlighting the importance of student associations in
nurturing leadership, innovation, and professional excellence among engineering
students.
The programme was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ms. Chris Mary
Jacob, Deputy Head, Data Management, Acumen Aviation, Bangalore, who
delivered an inspiring inaugural address on career opportunities in the aviation
sector and encouraged students to continuously develop their technical and
professional skills.
The Annual Report of HARDFLYERS was presented by Ms. Nehal Ann Joy,
Secretary, summarizing the association's achievements and outlining the action
plan for the academic year 20262027. Dr. Sujesh G, Head of the Department of
Aeronautical Engineering, delivered the felicitation address, emphasizing the role
of HARDFLYERS in promoting technical excellence, industry interaction, alumni
engagement, and student leadership through various academic and co-curricular
activities.
A major highlight of the programme was the signing of a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) between Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology
and Sky Dominion Technologies Private Limited. The MoU was signed by Mr.
Abin Sudheer, Founder and Managing Director, Sky Dominion Technologies Pvt.
Ltd., marking the beginning of a collaborative partnership aimed at strengthening
industryinstitute interaction through internships, training programmes, skill
development initiatives, research collaborations, and placement opportunities for
students.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr. Sherin Saleesh,
who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, chief guest, management, faculty
members, students, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of
the event. The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty
members and students, marking the beginning of another vibrant year of technical,
professional, and extracurricular activities under the banner of HARDFLYERS.
