From Ideas to the Skies - Learning, Building & Flying!

The two-day RC Airplane Workshop, organised by the TVASTRA Aerospace Club of Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology (JCET), Palakkad, provided students with an engaging hands-on experience in the fundamentals of aeromodelling and aerospace.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Dr. N. Gunasekaran, Principal, JCET. The workshop was formally inaugurated by Shri. K.C. Vinu, DySP, Shoranur, marking the beginning of an exciting two-day learning experience for the participants.
The workshop introduced students to the fundamental principles of RC aircraft design, construction, aerodynamics and flight. Through practical sessions, participants explored the various stages involved in building an RC airplane, gaining first-hand experience in aircraft assembly, testing and flight.
The sessions also provided insights into basic flight principles, aircraft design and aerodynamics, enabling students to connect theoretical concepts with practical application. The participants actively engaged in building and testing their aircraft before taking them to the skies.
From understanding the science behind flight to designing, building and finally flying their own RC aircraft, the workshop offered students an opportunity to transform their curiosity about aerospace into meaningful practical experience.
